The 19th annual SUHRFF, September 23-September 25, 2021

The Syracuse University Human Rights Film Festival celebrates its 19th year from Thursday, Sept 23 through Saturday, Sept 25, with an outstanding line-up of award-winning films addressing social justice issues around the globe. The festival is part of Syracuse Symposium 2021: CONVENTIONS and is presented by the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and the Syracuse University Humanities Center in the College of Arts & Sciences and the.

SUHRFF is an online event again this year because of continuing Covid-19 complications. All screenings and filmmaker Zoom Q&As are free and available with a syr.edu email login via Blackboard Organization: SUHRFF – SU Human Rights Film Festival. Films will be available for viewing for 48 hours on dates listed.

All films are closed-captioned or subtitled and also audio described in English. Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) is available during all Q&As.

The Co-Directors of SUHRFF are Professors Tula Goenka (Television, Radio & Film) and Roger Hallas (English).
